Sessions

- We have been working on a great program and have been developing some “hot topic” sessions with many specialists. Some of the proposed topics include Fishway Designs, Dam Removal, River Restoration, Environmentally-Enhanced Hydropower Turbines, Environmental Flows, Standardisation of fishway evaluations, Policy and Legislation, session on eels/sturgeons/salmon and so much more.

- Of course if you feel that you would like to propose a session, you are welcome to do so. Go visit our website and complete the online form. You may have noticed that our deadline for the session proposals has changed from 1 December to 5 December 2014. So if
you have a session you would like to propose, you now
have 4 more days!

- Top experts and governmental representatives, who will be presenting during our plenary sessions, include:

● Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and the Environment, Ms Schultz van Haegen-Maas Geesteranus, who will be officially opening the FP2015 conference.

● Dr Zeb Hogan, Ass. Prof. at University of Nevada-Reno and the host the National Geographic Television series “Monster Fish”

● Ms Laura Wildman, from Princeton Hydro and one of the top specialists in Dam Removal in North America

● Dr. Claudio Baigún, Project coordinator at Wetlands International, who is known for his achievements in South America on fish passage performance and fisheries

● Dr. Martin Mallen-Cooper, from Fishway Consulting Services, is highly regarded in the field of fish passage in the southern hemisphere

● Dr Beate Adam, founder of the Institute of Applied Ecology (Institut für angewandte Ökologie) and specialises in defining the demands for efficient fish passes, fish protection systems and downstream migration facilities.
